A city in lock down under attack.
Office doors locked, not clear when we’ll be back.
Chairs stacked on tables, power turned off,
Economy in limbo because of a cough.
Cafes, shops and restaurants, remain dark & shut,
Businesses brought to their knees, kicked in the gut.
Showrooms left empty, gyms closed and sweat free,
Landmarks deserted, no tourists to see.
Taxis lined up with nowhere to go,
Rush hour traffic moving fast and not slow.
A bus out of service, Evening Standards piled high,
Underground seats in abundant supply.
The hustle and bustle of London kidnapped, by a worldwide attack;
We’ll rebuild, time unknown but we will be back.
