As I sat and listened I went numb. My hand covered my mouth but there were no words to be said. My hands went to my head as it bowed to the desk.
I listened to people I admire tell me they were being made redundant but I couldn't hear. I felt a deep, heavy weight fall over me. I couldn't find any words.
After the call, I pulled my jumper over my face and cried.
This isn't a new normal. Nothing about this is normal.
